ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 stick frozen butter
- 1 cup whole buttermilk
prep
- put the 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour into bowl
- grate 1 stick frozen butter into the flour
- refrigerate the flour mixture for 10 minutes to allow all ingredients to be cold
- take out refrigerated mixture and add 1 cup of whole buttermilk and mix until all ingredients are blended and forms a soft ball
- on a lightly floured work surface, knead the dough 1 to 3 minutes
- pat or roll the dough out to desired thickness
- take round cookie cutter and cut out biscuits
- spray no-stick on pan and place biscuits
- put a very small amount of butter on top of biscuits before baking
cook
- bake at 450° for 10-12 minutes
