Gigi Wicker-Garner biscuits

ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 stick frozen butter
  • 1 cup whole buttermilk

prep

  1. put the 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour into bowl
  2. grate 1 stick frozen butter into the flour
  3. refrigerate the flour mixture for 10 minutes to allow all ingredients to be cold
  4. take out refrigerated mixture and add 1 cup of whole buttermilk and mix until all ingredients are blended and forms a soft ball
  5. on a lightly floured work surface, knead the dough 1 to 3 minutes
  6. pat or roll the dough out to desired thickness
  7. take round cookie cutter and cut out biscuits
  8. spray no-stick on pan and place biscuits
  9. put a very small amount of butter on top of biscuits before baking

  1. bake at 450° for 10-12 minutes
